Classes and Registration
Seaside Circus
Located in Gloucester, Ma offers professional level classes, for all ages and all experience levels. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced aerialists looking to hone their craft. Classes are small, so everyone has the chance to work on their own apparatus. Instruction is always tailored to the needs and abilities of each student.
Workshops in choreography, aerial act creation, aerial hammock, dance trapeze, acting for aerialists (and aerial work for actors), as well as a variety of other specialty topics, are also offered periodically.

Silks Classes
Class Levels
Our classes are leveled to ensure everyone can progress safely and at a similar pace.
Foundation
Start with the Foundation class to learn the basics, including foot wraps, climbing, and inverting on fabric. We begin with exercises close to the ground, so no prior experience is necessary—not even pull-ups!
Levels 1-3
With instructor approval, you can advance to Level 1 through Level 3 classes. Here, you'll move beyond the basics and learn more intermediate moves and drops.

If you're unsure which class to join, please email info@seasidecircuscapeann.com.

Lyra Classes
Ready to take your fitness off the ground? This class is designed for absolute beginners and focuses on mastering the essentials of the Aerial Hoop (Lyra). You'll focus on conditioning, proper technique for graceful entries and exits, and learning key beginner shapes and transitions. Build core strength, grip, and body awareness while discovering the thrill of flying. It's time to find your center in the hoop!

Vertical Dance
In a vertical dance class, you learn to defy gravity and dance on a vertical surface, such as a tall wall or the side of a building, while suspended by a harness and ropes.
-
Warm-up: The class starts with a regular floor warm-up and conditioning exercises to prepare your body, especially focusing on core and upper-body strength.
-
Harness & Rigging: You'll learn how to properly put on a climbing harness and understand the basic safety procedures and rigging setup.
-
Basic Movement: The core of the class involves using the wall as a floor. You learn techniques to walk, run, jump, and perform inversions (like upside-down poses) while being supported by the ropes.

Youth Classes
Circus Kids - Ages 5-7 and Ages 8-9

Yoga Playshop
with Ari Marcovski
Come practice yoga for the body, mind, and spirit, in a focused, gentle, and playful way. In this yoga playshop we practice by bringing simultaneous attention to steading the body, calming the mind, and awakening the heart so that we may shed accumulated resistance to our natural state of connection. This class is based on asana/flow yoga, but as a “playshop” (rather than a “workshop”) we take a focused yet lighthearted and exploratory approach to the practice, and authentically engage with to our direct experience, allowing us to move naturally towards our truest self.
