What to wear and bring to class
Please wear tight-fitting but comfortable clothing that covers the back of the knees. Tank tops are fine as long as you bring an extra layer to cover the armpits. Tops must be able to tuck into your pants, as you will be going upside down. Hair should be up and away from the face, and please no jewelry, zippers, or anything that can catch and rip the silks. Please no tights that cover the feet.
Please leave shoes, jackets, and bags in the lobby.
Please bring a water bottle and a good attitude!
Class Policy
-
A liability waiver must be signed before attending class. You can do this through our registration program, Groovio.
-
Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late must do a full warmup before joining the class.
-
Students may videotape and take pictures of themselves as long as it doesn’t interrupt the class. Please no filming of the instructor or other students without permission. Please do not post anything other than yourself on social media.
-
Any behavior that is hostile, negative, and/or disruptive to other students or the instructor will result in the student being asked to sit out or leave.
-
An instructor has the right and responsibility to modify or prohibit participation due to alcohol or drug use, sleep deprivation, injury, illness, and any other condition that hampers the ability to participate safely and responsibly in the class.
Cancellations and Refunds
-
Group Classes
Students may request a refund if they have paid for a full session but have not yet taken their first class. After the first class of the session, no refunds will be given. Exceptions are made only for cases of injury or extraordinary circumstances, and only when a student contacts Seaside Circus within a week of the incident to request a refund. -
There must be at least three people to run a session. If a class has less than three people signed up, a full refund will be given.
-
If an adult student does have to miss a class, they can use that makeup credit at an open studio. If a student misses more than two classes, those classes are forfeited. Unused makeup class credits are good for the current session.
-
The instructor may cancel a class at any time due to weather, illness, or other circumstances. If this is the case, a credit will be applied to the student’s account.
-
Private lessons
Students will receive an account credit made at least 4 hours before the scheduled lesson. The only exceptions are due to weather, injury, or extraordinary circumstances. No refunds or credits will be issued for unexplained no-shows.
Open Studio
-
Open studio is a time to practice skills you have learned in class or from another instructor, not for experimenting with new tricks or apparatuses.
-
Ask for help if you need it! The supervising instructor is available to help with equipment and safety questions. However, they are not there to teach new moves.
-
Respect the authority of the supervising instructor. The supervising instructor has the final say in all matters regarding safety.
-
Ask permission before offering feedback to others training in the studio. If a person says they do not want feedback, respect their wishes.
-
No teaching of students by students.
-
Please clean up and put away any apparatuses or equipment used during your time.
-
Children under the age of 16 may not attend open studio.
Parking
There is ample off-street parking, however, due to it being a residential neighborhood, you will have to block each other in. We've left 15 minutes in between classes to make sure parents and students have time to come and go safely.

Please note there is no street parking between May and September. Your car WILL be ticketed and towed!

Lobby
Our lobby is quite small. If your child is taking a class, it is best to not wait in the studio if possible. Parents may NOT watch the class unless the instructor has approved it. This is to keep the kids from being distracted while in the air. There are lovely trails to walk if you continue up to the end of High street.
