Classes
Seaside Circus, located in Gloucester, Ma offers professional level classes, for all ages and all experience levels. Beginners are welcome, as are experienced aerialists looking to hone their craft. Classes are small, so everyone has the chance to work on their own apparatus. Instruction is always tailored to the needs and abilities of each student.
Workshops in choreography, aerial act creation, aerial hammock, dance trapeze, acting for aerialists (and aerial work for actors), as well as a variety of other specialty topics, are also offered periodically.

Adult Beginner Trapeze - Ages 18+
The static trapeze is a steel bar hung by two ropes. You will learn the basics on how to get on and move around the bar and even in the ropes. Come and have fun creating poses and exploring what your body can do on this classic apparatus. No experience necessary.
Adult Trapeze Level 2 - Ages 18+
This class is by instructor approval only. This class moves beyond the basics and into more momentum and exploratory learning.
Adult Beginner Silks - Ages 18+
This is a beginner class in which you will learn the basics: foot wraps, climbing, and inverting in the air on fabric that is hung from the ceiling. No experience necessary.
Adult Silks Level 2 - Ages 18+
This class is by instructor approval only. This class moves beyond the basics and into more intermediate moves and drops.

Circus Kids - Ages 5-6 and Ages 7-9
Circus Tweens - Ages 10-12
Build strength, flexibility and confidence while having fun in the circus arts. Kids will learn the basics in juggling, partner acro, trapeze and silks. We will move at their own comfort level with lots of progressions, games and and conditioning. All levels of physicality are welcome. Classes remain small, with never more than 6 per class.
Teen Aerial Classes - Ages 13-17
Beginner:
Build strength, flexibility and confidence while having fun exploring the circus arts. This is a beginner class where students will learn the basics on the silks such as foot wraps, climbing and inverting in the air. We'll also spend time on the trapeze, sling and lyra. We will move at their own comfort level with lots of progressions and conditioning to help build their confidence in mind, body, and spirit. No experience necessary.
Level 2: This class is by instructor approval only. This class moves beyond the basics and into more intermediate moves and drops.
Taster Workshops
Not ready to commit to a full series? Consider taking a taster workshop! Aerial taster workshops are a great way to try out the circus before running away with it. These one hour workshops are offered monthlyand focus on either silks or trapeze. No experience necessary.

Private Lessons
Besides being a great way to delve deeper into circus with more individual attention, private lessons offer flexibility for people who can't make it to a weekly class or just want to try it with a friend.
